Bask in the Bluebells
Treat yourself to a day of blues and light, creativity, good food and friendly company.
May 11, 10am - 4pm
Beginning with an easy guided walk up the hill behind One Garden to the stunning bluebell fields in Stanmer Woods, we’ll bask in the blues, and gather inspiration with our cameras and sketchbooks.
Invigorated and inspired, we’ll return to One Garden for a coffee and I'll invite you to try some experimental and effective techniques for creating beautiful and contemporary watercolour and mixed-media paintings, perhaps trying to capture the way you feel in the calm beauty of the bluebells, rather than a photographic image.
With a special emphasis on creating light and a sense of space, you'll gain confidence to blossom and develop throughout the day.
You can work as realistically or as abstractly as you like.
Everyone’s paintings will be a personal expression of their morning’s bluebell walk.
A highlight of the day will be lunch at the beautiful One Garden Restaurant, including a glass of the fine local Plumpton wine.
£90, Lunch and all materials included, with a set of watercolours and watercolour brush for you to keep.
No knowledge required
Completely beginner-friendly!
Small group, Maximum of 8 painters.
Wear walking boots and clothes that can get dirty.
(I'm really sorry to say that the walk is not suitable for people with impaired mobility. The paths can be quite muddy and narrow. We will take it slow and easy, and as long as you can walk you will be fine.)
