Beautiful Botanical Gelli Printing
Art Retreat 3: Beautiful Botanical Gelli-Printing
Working directly from nature and printing without a press
July 4th, 10am-3.30pm
What more perfect place to connect with nature and experience this wonderful new print-making technique than One Garden Brighton?!
After an short introductory tour of the gardens led by head gardener, Pete, we're allowed to explore on our own and to forage with scissors to collect leaves and grasses that will become our multi-layered images.
Working directly with these plants nurtures a deep connection with the garden and nature.
After a coffee break, Seana will demonstrate a variety of gelli-printing methods and you can experiment and play, and make a delightful mess if you like!
This process is all about the process and there are NO mistakes possible!
Then we'll enjoy a delicious One Garden Kitchen lunch with a cheeky little glass of local wine.
Refreshed and rejuvenated, take a moment to breathe deep in the garden, and begin to express and develop your own ideas and images into a series of finished prints on paper and or create an exuberant concertina sketchbook.
This method is astonishingly simple and produces really beautiful results.
You will be amazed at what you can achieve.
